There are 2 types: natural and artificial. These kind of fats are the worst kinds. They lower the good cholesterol (HDL) and raise the bad cholesterol(LDL). This increases your risk of heart disease.
Natural trans fat is found in red meat and dairy products like butter and milk.
Artificial trans fat is found in foods like fried foods and margarine.
You should try and eat less than 1% of your daily calories.
Many cities are trying to ban trans fat and New York has already banned it.
