The new food pyramid.

You may have heard of the food pyramid but do you know what it is? It is actually a way to help you find out what you should eat and how much. The old pyramid used to have horizontal lines but the new on has vertical lines with each color representing a food group.

Oils and fats are the smallest group and you should try to avoid too much but some fats are good for you.
You should try to have at least 2 to 3 servings of lean meat and low fat dairy foods like milk, yogurt, and cheese.
The next best thing to have is 3 to 5 servings of vegetables and 2 to 4 servings of fruit every day.
I hope you like bread, pasta, cereal, and rice because you should have 6 to 11 servings a day , they are so good for you.
What you should not have a lot of is sweets and sugary candies



Healthy food, which you
should eat plenty of.
