BMI
BMI is a way to calculate body fat using your weight and height. Calculating your BMI is important for your health as it can let you know if you are overweight or underweight on the BMI scale. Usually if your BMI is high then you are overweight, but sometimes especially in athletes or people with a lot of muscle mass, even though their BMI is high they are not obese.

There are four different levels of BMI:
  • If your BMI is 18.5 you are underweight
  • If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9 you are normal weight
  • If your BMI is 25 to 29.9 you are overweight
  • If your BMI is 30 or higher you are obese

If you want to figure out your BMI there are 2 different ways to find it. The first choice is doing it manually. The second choice is to use a special BMI calculator. If you wish to calculate it manually in US measurements follow these steps:

  1. Start by finding your weight in Lbs.
  2. Then find your height in inches
  3. Multiply your height by itself this will be your height squared.
  4. Divide your weight by your height squared.
  5. Finally, multiply your answer by 703 this should equal your BMI.

But of course if math is not really your thing, check out these websites.
