One of the elements that define best a rural community is the popular costumes.
Women costumes: Before the 18th and the 19th century, women wore long shirt made out of cloth hempen couloured white. The shirts had their specific elements, such as: "fodori", "cheutori", "bracire", "margele" "sort", "opreg", "latitar", "pieptar", "caput", "obiele" and the specific shoes, "opinci".
Man costumes: were created at home by women. A costume was formed out of a long skirt. In the winter they wore wool and leather. They had a sort of belt, with many pockets, for keeping their money, their knife and cigarettes.
