Food Safety
In developed countries, most people accept food borne diseases as a brief inconvenience rather than a symptom of disease and hence, chose not to visit the doctor’s. The improvement of technology has posed new challenges to food safety. People are demanding for food that are not in the season and the invention of microwave oven has resulted in many unwilling to cook for the convenience technology bring them. An increase in life expectancy, together with those whose immune system has been impaired by diseases or treatment would mean that a larger population is left vulnerable in the face of unsafe food, posing an even more serious threat.
