Mako Shark

The Mako Sharks upper body is cobalt blue and its underside is white.  It is up to 396cm long and weighs approximately 1000lbs.  It is thought capable of being able to swim at 50 knots.

Mako Sharks like to eat tuna, mackerel and squids.  Mako sharks are found in warmer temperatures, usually over 18 degrees Celsius.   It can swim down to 150 metres.  Some have been spotted off the South West Coast of Cronwall.

Mako Sharks are endangered due to over fishing and water pollution.
