Welcome
Goldenseal
goldenseal

The Goldenseal is part of the buttercup family.  It is green with a white centre and orange roots.  It is found in the hardwood forests of North America.

This small and delicate plant has become endangered because of its healing properties.  It is thought that the Goldenseal can cure almost everything from haemorrhoids to allergies.

In recent years the demand for the Goldenseal has increased by 30% and that does not include people picking it for themselves in the wild.
