parrot

The Green Cheeked Parrot is native to Mexico.  It has an olive green body and wings, navy feathers at the end of their wings, and a maroon tail.  Their head is dark and their throats are grey-green with flecks of green.  It is a very small bird of about 10 cm long.  Amazingly it can live up to 65 years. It is a very intelligent and playful animal.

The Green Cheeked Parrot is endangered because of the high demand for these parrots that can mimic the human voice.
