The 1994 movie "The Lion King" is
a story about a king of lions living
in Africa. The leader, Mufasa, has a young cub named Simba who is
learning to become a leader. Mufasa has an evil brother named Scar who
is second in line for king. For Scar to get what he wants he has to kill
his brother and his young nephew. Scar planned a wildebeest stampede to
kill Simba and Mufasa will save him and die. Simba lived and is now the
king of the pride. He has no one to learn from because his father is
dead. This heartwarming story teaches you about the life of a lion in
the hot continent of Africa.
This Broadway musical is 2 hours
and 45 minutes long with one intermission. This production won 6 1998
Tony Awards. "The Lion King" is a musical, family friendly, award
winning, funny, and has amazing effects such as the amazing dance
numbers.
