Crown of Thorns

The Crown of thorns flips its stomach inside out shooting the coral with digestive juices ruining the coral. The crown of thorns has over 16-18 arms with very long venomous spins. The crown of thorns has a lot to do with extinction of coral reefs. The crown of thorns feeds off of the coral. Luckily, the red spotted guard crab is on our side. This special crab, with its claws warns off threats to the coral host. The guard crab with start to grab at the crown of thorns if it settles on the coral.

The spines of a crown of thorns starfish come to a molecular-sharp point. They penetrate skin (and gloves) so easily it is impossible to feel them enter. But once they do, the venom lets you know you've been pronged.
