Background Information

We consulted information from internet websites, such as the website from the HK Universityand official websites of blogs and social networking websites. Also, we bought some magazines and found out a lot about this topic, such as e-Zone. Finally, we found some discussion forums and learnt a lot from the ideas of bloggers.

Since the information from HK University’s website is usually given by professors, therefore it is dependable. Official websites of blogs and social networking websites are trustable because those webs are only about blogs and social networks so they give the most accurate information. Lastly, e-Zone is a trustworthy magazine because its main idea is to talk about computers and technology.

The information from these sources is more or less the same. We found out the opnions of different people and their purposes of blogging and social networking. A blog is a website where entries are usually in chronological order. Some blogs provide comments on a particular subjects, some function as a personal online diary. Most blogs include text, images and links to other blogs, web pages and related media; a social network is a place where values and ideas are linked together.
