Biography - Laura
My name is Laura, I’m 17 years old, and I’m from Colombia. Currently I’m a senior at Pinkerton Academy and I’m looking forward to starting my college education this fall. I like to play sports anything that involves being outside, especially running, tennis and swimming. My hobbies are languages. I love to learn about other cultures and meet new people, I think it is very interesting. Currently I am taking French and Latin.
My role in the team is to translate the site from English to Spanish. To me ThinkQuest is a great organization that allows kids to show what they are good at and put it on a website that provides millions of kids with valuable and accurate information. It also gives us the opportunity to meet and work with amazing people from other parts of the world and also develop life-long friendships. From this experience I learned about time management and that hard work and dedication is tremendously rewarding. My team was very supporting when it came time to make decisions together, deadlines and just being very open to everyone else’s ideas.
