What is Online Gaming?

Online gaming refers to games that are played over some form of computer network. This is basically playing video games on the internet. Over the last few years, the usage of online gaming has risen immensely, reflecting the overall expansion of computer networks. Now online games are very popular, and are acting as a huge source of entertainment, and social activity for multiple players.

  Allows players from all around the world to play with each other

  Using games consoles to play against others using a PC. You can do this on game consoles such as the, Nintendo Wii, Play Station 3, and the Xbox 360 Live.
• Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG)
  This is a type of role playing game where large numbers of players immerse themselves in a virtual world. Players take on the role, of a character, controlling many of its actions, and features. The virtual world continues to develop and exist even while the player is away from the game.
• Browser Games
  These are single player games played using a web browser via the html language, or multiple player games which use a web server. Technology such as Flash and Java allow us to play more complex games and has proved very popular.
