TAN WING KWAN - Team Leader, Interviewer and Writer
I am 15 years old and attending school at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I love
writing since my primary school days. I play piano and plan to be a piano
teacher one day. I am good at programs like Macromedia. However, for this
ThinkQuest project I am not doing any animation. My main role is researching
and writing, and coordinating. I wrote the poem “Cruel Fate”.
Even though it took up most of my time, I have gained a lot of knowledge
and experiences that I believe worthwhile. Joining ThinkQuest also helps
me to learn about teamwork and upgrade my leadership skills.
MOHAMAD HAZIQ – The Web Master
I am 15 years old. I am from Kuala Lumpur. I love to meddle with ICT but
I am also good in sports. I am in the school rugby team. In this project,
I am the web designer. I designed and created the web pages. I sincerely
thank MS Wee for allowing me to join the team. I have improved in my web
site building skills and learned to communicate more effectively with
my teammates.
MUHAMMAD FAUZAN NOHD NOR – Cameraman cum Surveyor
I am Fauzan to my friends. I study at a Secondary School in Bangi, Malaysia.
This is the first time I join ThinkQuest. My role in this project is taking
pictures for the project. I also help out with the field survey and analysis
of the results. I learned a lot during the project: teamwork, technology
skills and communication skills. I wish to thank my teacher Mr Musa for
introducing me to ThinkQuest. Thank you Ms Wee for giving me the chance.
MUHAMMAD FIKRI WAZINI MUNAWAR – Surveyor and Researcher
My name is Wazin. I am a 15 year old boy schooling in Bangi, Malaysia.
Usually I like to surf the Internet and I can do research. My role in
this ThinkQuest project is as a surveyor. I conducted the field study
at my school. I must communicate with many people to finish my survey.
Together with Fauzan, we analyzed the survey results. I had learnt many
things in this competition. I make many new friends. I learnt how to work
as a team even when we are separated. It also builds up my self-confidence.
I hope to take part again next year. Thank you Ms Wee and Mr Musa for
allowing me to participate in the project.
WONG KEAN HOONG – The Video Man, Photographer and Researcher
I am Kean Hoong from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am the video man. I recorded
the interviewing process. I also edited the video. I use Photoshop to
edit picture for the project. This is the first time I participate in
the competition organized by ThinkQuest. While doing the project, I realise
that teamwork is very important if we want to finish a project on time.
I have also improved my communication skills and enriched my knowledge
on dengue fever.

MS MAIMUN HUSSIN (Assistant Coach)
Ms Maimun Hussin has helped out in arranging an interview with Doctor
Asmahan. She has also helped in getting permission to visit the Ministry
of Health and use of their materials in our site. She has made many constructive
suggestions. Being our language teacher, she has pointed out many grammatical
errors in the process. We have learned a lot from her. Thank you Ms Maimun.
MS WEE SIU HIANG (Primary Coach)
Our special thanks go to Ms Wee, our main coach. She has been ever willing
to provide guidance and comments on the project. She has also provided
transport to Selayang Hospital, Ministry of Health Malaysia, and Kuala
Lumpur City Hall. Whenever we seek guidance, she obliges unfailingly.
She encourages us to go on when two of our friends dropped out of the
team. We have learned a lot of things from her. Thanks again Ms Wee for
pushing us forward.
