A hookah is a single or multi-stemmed, often glass-based water pipe device for smoking. It originated
from India and quickly gained popularity, especially in the Arab World. A hookah operates by water-filtration
and indirect heat. It can be used for smoking many substances, such as herbal fruits and tobacco.
Sheesha tobacco(tobacco used for smoking out of a hookah pipe) is sold in a variety of flavors. Some of the
flavors are derived from the addition of artificial flavorings. Flavors include vanilla, coconut, rose, honey,
strawberry, watermelon, mint, cherry, orange, apple, apricot, chocolate, coffee, grape, peach, cola, gum, bubblegum,
vodka etc…

A hookah session consists of smoking hookah tobacco out of a hookah pipe for about 1 hour.
Today's media suggests that smoking hookah tobacco can be more healththreatening than smoking cigarettes.
Research suggests that a session of hookah tobacco smoking delivers slightly more tar and carbon monoxide (around 5-10%)
than a pack of cigarettes.
Some hookah tobaccos claim to contain 0.0% tar. This is misleading due to the fact that tar is created when tobacco
and coal burns.
