In China, people have different rights depending on social status and on gender. For example, men have the most rights: gender wise. This is because men are more revered in Chinese history because they are basically the rulers and leaders. Women were the men's partners in everything and this does not give them the same status as the men. There are also other things that also differ between the two genders. One major thing that is a cause of this is from a historical view point. This is an effect from the law that was put down in 1979: the one child law. The one child law, as it is said, means that there can only be one child per Chinese family and because some Chinese people are so determined for their family blood line to go on, they want to have a boy instead of a girl. In this day and age, people can check the gender of a baby before it is born by an ultra sound. If the baby is a girl, the parents usually never let it be born and try again. The one child law is one of the main reasons that boys are more revered on then girls in Chinese culture.
Another thing that is a big determiner in the fact that China thinks that the males are better then females is the importance of males in a Chinese point of view. For an example, if you asked a girl to build a palace or a rail road, it would have never been finished, but if you asked a group of guys to do those tasks, it would take a few weeks to do it. This is generally saying that the male can do more work than a female can do so that males are more important if in a work force. This better working person would have been put to work and usually would have to supply for his family. This means that the woman can work but are not going to be paid nearly as much as men would (which is not that much) at their jobs. This is just another example of the more rights that men have over woman in China.
Even though men may have more rights than woman, they also have restrictions as well. One thing that men are not allowed to do in China is protest the communist rule and the rule of the country. Most other stuff, men are allowed to do but the pay is bad for most everyone in the Chinese city. This is because the communist party that is in charge of China, so, mostly using most of the money is used to keep the government in check and not the people. People of all ages have to work and most of them do not get a large salary. Men or women, people have to work to keep their lives in check. Girls have lesser amount of right then the men because they can't do a lot of jobs and this is not good. They have way less rights then men and do not get a fair say in the matter of politics. These are all examples of human rights in China with men and woman.
