When we go to school, work or simply just look at children play together, we often can see that they are all of the same race. This should not be the case. We are living in the 21st century ,in extremely advanced modern societies. Based on how we see it however, social ethics still has much space for improvement.
The need for multiracialism is becoming imminent in this fast pace society, where past third world countries such as China are becoming powerhouses in the world of economy. For countries such as America and Europe to advance further and keep up with the global economy, they would need to develop good relationship ties with the Chinese and even the Africans. We cannot be so strong headed to believe that we can advance and improve in this competitive world by just associating with people of our own race. In order to take advantage of this situation, multiracialism between different countries and races is important as ever in these times.
Even as children, many of us can play our part by making friends of different races. This way, the future generation of adults will be able to enforce racial harmony and integration. In the process, we will be able to learn about their different religions and lifestyles. We will also have a much wider circle of friends.
Another reason that we multiracialism must start today is that many countries, such as America and Singapore have people of many different races and ethnic groups living together. How can a country actually advance, or even keep up with other countries if the country is divided into different groups? In order for the country to progress, multiracialism among the people of the country is very important.
We must start communicating with people of different races today, as the rapid increase in the level of technology around the world has made it necessary for people to know each other's culture well, so as to foster good relations and be able to communicate and share ideas with one another; for the advancement of humankind as a whole. We should not be so self centered as to feel that only things from people of our own race is all that is good or worth learning. In the long run, you will find that this will definitely have a positive impact on your life. |
