Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)---Compulsory activities that goes beyond the standard curriculum
Chinese New Year (CNY)---A festival celebrated annually by chinese around the world in February to mark the arrival of the lunar new year.
Chinatown---A place found in many different cities around the world, Chinatown most often refers to a historical neighborhood of heavy Chinese ethnic influence.
Community Development Council (CDC)---A branch of a government organization specializing in organizing special events for the community.

Dialects---Sub languages of certain language, most often used by dominant ethnic groups in an area.
Deepavali---A festival celebrated by Hindus that is more commonly known as "The Festival of Lights".

Eurasians---Someone of mixed ethnic descent, between that of an Asian and a European.

Halal---Term is used to represent food that complies with Islamic law, stating that it is fit for consumption by Muslims.
Hari Raya Puasa/Haji---Two festivals celebrated by Muslims annually, translated as "Grand day of Rejoicing" and "Festival of Sacrifice" respectively.
Housing Development Board (HDB)---An organization that is responsible for high density public housing in Singapore

National Education (NE)---Part of Singapore's curriculum to enhance the understanding of national belonging and responsibility that plays a large role in racial education
National Economic Policy (Malaysia)---A socioedconomic policy that gives native Malaysians benfits in many sectors, such as in terms of housing, education and jobs.

United Malays National Organization---Malaysia's most influential political party and is a strong supporter of NEP(see above)
