Energy Conservation Programs

China's environmental issues are terrible and are getting worse. Although, they can be helped and may be eventually stopped, China still needs more help. Only with collabrative work can China be saved. The goal is to prevent coal use and to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air. Thankfully, there are many energy conservation programs that are helping China solved and weaken its problems.

China has come up with many ways to help reduce the amount of energy it consumes, and are listed in a new energy conservation guide by China's Misinitry of Science and Technology, or MOST. This giude includes many simple, small, everyday changes that China's citizens can do to reduce pollution, and save energy. This includes buying and using energy-efficient appliances, switching to flourecent lightbulbs, using solar and methane as an energy source and using public transportation instead of driving individually. MOST also aims to have people to stop smoking and drinking and to ride a bike instead of a car. According to MOSt, if a small portion of CHina make the lifestyle change, the amount of energy saved would be colassal, saving about 77 million tons of coal and 200 million tons of carbon dioxide from the air. China is also tryig to get more peolpe aware of the problems its facing, by using the media. Orginizations are holding projects that present new models for communities to become more environmentally friendly.
