Sweden

The Swedish healthcare system is public and and bulk financed by the state. The system can be divided into seven sections: emergency care, elective care, in-patient care, out-patient care, socialist care, dental care and care clinics such maternity and out-patient psychiatric.
A person wanting medical attention must first obtain an appointment at a doctors clinic and then may be recommended to treatment at a hospital clinic. All emergencies are dealt with the emergency department of the hospital.
