Algeria

In Algeria the national government provides healthcare through the ministry of health. but the ministry of defence rins some military hospitals. Medical care was made free in 1974 and pays for 80% of private consultations and prescriptions.

Statistics

TB, malaria and malnutrition are the main health concerns in Algeria and its estimated that 9,100 people are living with HIV/AIDS. The life expectancy of the total population is is 73.52 years. However, the death rate of 4.62/per 1,000 people is below the global average
