INITIAL DESIGN
We began with pen and paper, drawing up possible layouts and ideas, discussing the pros and cons of each. Then we began to develop the idea within Adobe Dreamweaver, the web design package.
DEVELOPMENT OF DESIGN
Using Adobe Photoshop, the image design package, we began to create background images and the beginnings of a logo using the colour scheme we had decided upon. Using a free stock photography site we developed the images for the site headers.
FLASH DESIGN
We designed the flash header for the homepage to help generate interest in the site. We developed the Flash quiz and interactive map to fit in with the style and general design of our site.
FINALISING DESIGN
After developing design final adjustments were made before beginning to input articles into the site, which were coded before we put them in to quicken the process.
TESTING
Once we had completed the input of all the information, articles, interactive files and images, we uploaded the site to the ThinkQuest servers for testing. We tested our site on both Mac & Windows on several different internet browsers to make sure our site was truly accssible to everyone.
