The Zebra lives in the wide open plains of Africa. They can run up to 42 mph. Since they are colored with black and white stripes, it makes the predators confused, lowering the chance of an attack. They live in groups of 7(plus the babies) led by a male zebra called a stallion. The zebra is a very alert animal. They can spot danger from nine miles away. There are about 750,000 left in the wild. It is hunted for its skin/fur. |
