Information received from wikipedia.org   koala

Koala bears are not really bears. They are related to the Kangaroo more than to the bear. They have a pouch, making them marsupials. They spend their days in the Eucalyptus trees of Australia. The Eucalyptus leaves are the Koala's favorite food. They have grey furan their back side and white fur on their stomaches. They can grow to two feet and are about 30 pounds in weight. Koalas used to be hunted for their soft fur. There are only about 100,000 left! 4,000 are killed every year.
