The Asian lion is a sub species of the African lion. They live in the Indian Gir forest. They are carnivores, meaning they eat meat. They live in groups called prides, that consist of a male, 6 females, and the liion cubs. They can live up to 18 years of age and are 300 to 500 pounds. They are also six feet long. The Asian and the African lion are the only types of cats who live in groups.
