Identity theft is a very serious thing.
Identity Theft
Identity theft is described as the stealing of a persons personal information and using it to take on that persons identity.
A person who often steals a person&rsquo s identity usually uses it to cause harm to the person it was stolen from. This harm is most likely going to be finacial problems.A person who does this usually gets their information either online, mail, or by finding and using a persons social security number.
States have passed laws that have serious punishment for taking on another persons identity. This is because identity theft is against the law.So don&rsquo t do it.
Fraud
Fraud is basically the same as identity theft, but has a little bit of lying tied in with it. About 10,000,000 Americans a year are victims of identity theft or fraud.
Fraud is lying! Anybody who does it can basically be considered a liar. So don't do it because there a re major penalties for the people who commit this crime.
