About Us
Who would've thought we could do this
Cyber Police was created by 5 Highschool students at Frontier Academy Secondary School. For the majority of the students, this project was the first time they had ever worked with Web Design. The students all belong to a semester long Web Design class, where they recieved a few weeks of instruction before setting off to make Cyber Police
The students chose to make a website about Cyber Crime, a fastly growing problem caused by a fastly growing industry. All students agreed that people needed to know what was illegal and what was not. If people know this, they can be sure they aren't accidentally committing a crime, as well as protect themselves from other criminals.
Josh
Josh is a sophomore, who before this project didn't really have much experience with computers (although his mother thinks that he does). It's been a little bit of a struggle for Josh to get the whole website designing thing down, but he is catching on quickly. He enjoys playing baseball, guitar and his saxophone. He contributed research and put together the content about identity theft and fraud.
Amanda
Amanda, like Josh, is a sophomore. She plays soccer and volleyball and loves to sing. She contributed to this project by telling people about online predators. She still struggles with technology, but is trying hard to understand. She was committed to this project and tried hard to get it done.
Chris
Chris is quite the out-going Sophomore. He contributed the majority of the personality to the group, as well as most of the images in the site. He made the light layout with CSS. He has really come far in this class. He never thought 5 months ago that he could have made a website - but look at him now. Chris also plays Basketball, runs Track and Cross Country, and enjoys Graphic Design.
Rebecca
Rebecca is a Junior. She enjoys surfing the Internet, reading, and now, creating web pages. Though this is her first project, listening to music helped her a lot and she managed to do great work. As an adult, Rebecca hopes to become a Crime Scene Investigator or a professional Web Page designer. Rebecca contributed the Cyberbullying information.
Caitlin
Caitlin, a Junior, is probably the only student with prior experiance in webdesign. She has been teaching herself for about 4 years now, and hopes to some day become a Web Developer. Besides web design, Caitlin also enjoys Art, graphic design, playing the Clarinet, sewing, horseback riding, and a whole slew of other activities. She contributed the Dark layout, link, pirating, and sitemap pages, and other odd jobs around the website. Overall she is very proud of what the group has accomplished.
