The History of Animation

About the Animators

Our group consists of three members, all of whom currently go to school in Germany. We divided our work according to our skills. One member was our Technical Expert, specializing in banners, buttons, and games, one was our Researcher and Slideshow Producer, and one was our Director and Idea man.

When our group was presented with the challenge of creating a website for Thinkquest, we first had to brainstorm on a what topic we would choose. After collaborating for quite some time, we decided we wanted to create a website about history. We then narrowed it down to two choices: Dinosaurs and The History of Animation. After discussing these two topics, we concluded that The History of Animation would tie into both history and technology, and therefore provide a topic in which our whole group would be interested. That is how our website, "The History of Animation," was born. We divided the tasks based on each members strengths.

Our group has a diverse ethnic background. We have French, Canadian, Irish, Native American. German, Mexican, British, and Italian ancestors.

We've lived in Virginia, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, California, South Korea (Seoul), Gran Canaria (the Canary Islands, Spain), and Germany.

Since our topic spanned the centuries, it required a detailed exploration of multiple resources which focused on the era presented. Finding material that was public domain and not copyrighted was our greatest challenge. We focused on presenting our information with visual aids where possible, since students of today are more interested in this type of presentation. More pictures, less words.
