In the beginning long before money was ever invented, ancient Egyptians and Early pilgrims used the barter system. The barter system is a system of trading goods for others in return. The bad thing about the barter system is that people didn't know what to give in return for what they got. After many disputes of figuring out what to give in return people got tired of the barter system--therefore the money was invented.
