INTRODUCTION:

It lies to the west of the Arravali range.It occupies a major part of the state of Rajasthan and extends upto Sind in Pakistan as the Thar desert.The land is generally sandy and covered with sand soil.The region is dry with hardly any rivers.Luni is the only river in this region.
