A standard lineup is composed of a Quarterback, Fullback, Tailback in what is called an "I" formation. (Pictured above)

There are five linemen on the line-of-scrimmage, two Tackles, two Guards, and one Center.

Three wide receivers round off the formation, an X, Y, and Z.

This formation is the most commonly utilized in American Football.
