New form of loop quantum gravity arrives

For the first time, physicists have observed quantum
states which are quantized under the effect of the gravitational field.

Quantum gravitation states - The vertical motion of ultracold neutrons comes in quantized size.

Dark matter no longer present - Physicists have developed a new model in which behaviour of gravity becomes a bit different at cosmological level leading to the acceleration of the universe.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Unification of quantum theory and gravity is presently the hottest topic in elementary physics research. Our website discusses the theories from those of Newton’s times to the present ones, which led to the development of relativity and quantum theory, and the present need for a final theory. The main objective of this site is to introduce to the students some powerful and beautiful physical theories in their actual mathematical forms. We have tried to make the Mathematics as comprehensible as possible and expect that you will be able to understand the basic ideas behind the 'masterpieces' of Physics. Therefore, we have chosen this topic 'QUANTUM GRAVITY' for the ThinkQuest website designing competition. Most of the data has been taken from www.wikipedia.org and other books like Introduction To Cosmology (Jayant Narlikar), The Road To Reality (Roger Penrose), Atomic Physics (J. B. Rajam), etc..

ABOUT THE TEAM

Mrs Monica Sahni (Coach)

Mrs Monica Sahni is the coach of our team. With immense knowledge about computer softwares, she incessantly strove to make our team as near to the perfect mark as possible. As the HOD, Computer Department, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, she acted as the consolidator of information and also proofread the final design.

Ms. Shilpi Agrawal (Assistant Coach)

Ms Shilpi Agrawal is Computer Engineer by qualification. She taught us the concepts of website designing, and the deep knowldege of designing tools. She is very cooperative and freindly and we enjoyed working with her.

Nitish

Nitish is the main designer of the website and is the brain behind the creativity and converting the otherwise-not-so-interesting Physics into an interactive, informative and attractive forum for the neutral and interested viewers. He is from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh and is an expert exponent of C++, FoxPro, html and is brilliant at picking up on newer softwares.

Anurag

Anurag is the ‘brain’ behind the work on quantum gravity. He had penned down most of the data before actually verifying it from credible sources. He is an excellent student who, though still studying in XII standard, is good enough to outclass an honors student.

Ritesh

Ritesh hails from Manipur and is like the all-rounder of the team doing almost everything required from actual designing to collecting information and verifying whether it was fundamentally correct. He brings to the team boundless talent and an uncanny knack of doing everything to the best of his ability without tiring at all.
