What is A.I ?
Artificial inteligente is the study of man made computers and systems, wich cand be made to act in a matter wich we call inteligente. The moder definition of artifivial inteligente is the study of inteligent agents. An inteligent agent is an man made sistem that studyes its enviroment and takes actions wich maximizez its chances of succes.
Artificial inteligente research began in the midle of the 20th century when a handful of scientists tried building inteligent machines. The modern artificial inteligence research was founded in the the summer of 1956 at the campus of Darmouth College.Those who attended at that meeting would become the leaders of A.I research.
Problems with Artificial Intelligence
Some researchers’ succeeded in developing an algorithm that can imitate the conscious, but for the difficult problems this algorithms require enormous computational resources, the amount of memory becomes enormous, almost astronomical. The problems that machines should solve require extensive knowledge about the world.
For a human being it is easy to walk in a room full of objects and make your way between those objects, but for a machine with artificial intelligence, in this case a robot, it is hard. If a human being tries to resolve an mathematical problem it could be hard, but not for an robot, the things that seem easy to us are hard for an robot.
Another problem is the social intelligence. Emotions play two roles for an intelligent agent, the first role is that an intelligent agent has to predict the action of others, understanding their motives, the second role is that an intelligent agent, for a good human-computer interaction, must be able to show feeling for that human being, at the very least seam it must seam polite and sensitive.
Most researches believe that someday their work will be imputed into a machine with general intelligence, that will have all the skills of a human being and even exceed some of them.
