Capitalism

Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership and the right of people and companies. Used in almost every single country in the world, it is the base for the global market. It is generally noted that coutries practicing capitalism have higher standards of living and a higher GDP (gross domestic product) than communist countries. In fact, many countries with a communist political system have a capitalist oriented economy. A notable example is China.
