Sumenep Great Mosque is listed in the center of the city. It is exactly infront of Taman Adipura ( Adipura Park ) and on the left of it is the building of regional consultative body. The Mosque was built by Tumenggung Arya Noto Kusumo I which known as Panembahan Sumolo in the year of 1763.

The style of its building was influenced by Islamic, China and Europe architecture. All these can be seen on its beautiful and unique gate.
