It was a typical dull moment in our life, when we have started to think why a windy, rainy day with neither snow nor frost is called "a winter day". In Poland it is typical that winters are extremely harsh with a lot of snow everywhere. Much more disappointed we were while last Christmas instead of a picturesque view of mountains, valleys covered with snow, we had to "admire" gray roads, gray grass, trees and of course no weather conditions for skiing in the mountains.

      At first it could occur that the short description given above has nothing in common with our website. But it is of course not true. As a group of young, inquiring people, we have decided to get to know why it really happens - why we didn't have white Christmas last year, why there were no slippery roads... What we have learnt got us completely down.

      Every change in our climate is caused by global warming. We have suddenly realized that it is a subject no longer discussed while biology lessons only, but it is a phenomenon which results we could notice everywhere. It means that it is not enough to listen to scientists talking about ice melting or rising level of oceans but we have to be aware of every small weather symptom that shows that something wrong happens.

      That was the reason we have decided to act to help our globe to survive. Then the idea for a website which could give some solutions to the problem appeared. What is more we have realized that we have to be aware of the fact that our globe is in the middle of a serious energy crisis. What is more, at the moment more energy needs are met by burning fossil fuels. Unfortunately, these are not renewable sources of energy, and once they have run out, that's it.

      So, as a group of young people who are increasingly interested in science and of course very creatve, we have decided to get to know a lot about renewable sources of energy, how they are used and what they really are.

      Before we started our educational project, we have edited some questionnaires to get to know if people are aware of the problem. What is more we have studied newspapers, websites and science literature.

      We have tried to create a website which will be aimed at everyone trying to save our world.
