Midgard Serpent

Jormungandr (the Midgard Serpent) was tossed into the sea as a child by Odin. He roamed the sea lurking deap in the ocean. Thor went on a quest to kill the serpent. One time Jormungandr shape shifted into a cat. Thor tried to pick the cat up, but not knowing it was the serpent he could only lift one paw up. Still this was an amazing feet. Another confrontation came when Thor went on a fishing trip to catch Jormungandr. Since the giant sailing the boat would not give him bait to catch the serpent, Thor killed his biggest ox and put its head on the hook. The Midgard Serpent bit the line and Thor pulled the serpent out. The two tried to fight it out. Jormungandr started spilling poison and blood, and Thor was about to grab his hammer to slay the beast, but the gaint sailing the boat was so frightened that he cut the line so the serpent could escape. The final battle will be at ragnorok where Thor will kill the Midgard serpent but then take 9 steps and die.
