Michael Jackson

Born in Gary, Indiana Michael Jackson was one out of five brothers. Early in his life Michael and his 4 other brother were organized into a group called the Jackson 5, by their father Joseph. No one knew he would later separate from his brothers and lead a singing and dancing courier of his own.

In 1969 Motown records signed the Jackson 5 on, they’re music was a quick success. During the 1970’s while the Jackson 5 made four pop hits in a row, Michael Jackson was at the top of the pop charts. As the kids got older they started to split up as tensions arose, so finally in 1975 the Jackson 5 ended their contract with Motown, but continued to Epic Records as the Jacksons. As the Jacksons thrived, their sister Janet Jackson started her own solo career, but none were any match for “Little Mikey's great hits.

Weird Al

Weird Al Yankovic’s first song was recorded in the bathroom on his college campus at 3:00 am. It was across from the college radio station. They ran wires in the halls since he didn't have enough money to use a recording studio. Unlike a usual rock star, he plays the electric accordion and has a degree in architecture. But that goes great with his name starting with “weird”.
Some of his most popular songs are “Eat It” and “My Bologna,” which was recorded in the bathroom. He mainly does parodies, but has some original songs, like “Albuquerque” or “Hard Ware Store.” “Just doing the kind of material I do, people tag me as a one-hit wonder, a novelty artist.... Each time I come out with a hit, they call me a one-hit wonder.” (Weird Al)
He depends on his peers to write songs, because he needs to know if what he writes is funny to others also. If his friends like it or thinks it funny, he hopes so will other people. He has to get permission from the artists’ tunes he uses. Not all give him permission, but once Michael Jackson did, others did also. He goes for more popular artist because that might make his parody of the song more popular.
He gets tons of ideas from fans each year, but usually rejects most of them. “I got an amazing number of ideas for a parody of {Michael Jackson's} 'Thriller.' Think of anything that rhymes with 'Thriller' griller, chiller, anything at all, and I got it.” (Weird Al)

Bob Marley

Bob Marley and his last tour with The Wailers captured the biggest crowd in that year than any other live concert in Europe. When he died his point of love and peace was just being gripped and applauded by the world and it’s audiences. Bob Marley was viewed as a hero figure by his incoming fans worldwide.

The Wailers concert in Milan was the biggest concert for the Wailers, over 100,000 people attended, which is about 1/3 of the United States population!. During that time the Wailers went on a European tour breaking records every where. The Wailers were considered so important and so good that they were considering a tour in America with Stevie Wonder.
