SavouroFilms Productions

SavouroFilms Productions was founded in Seryfos, a Greek island, the summer of 2007. The term Savourofilms comes from the merging of the Greek word 'Σαβούρα' meaning junk and the English word 'Film' meaning... eh... film. The name it self is self-sarcastic and shows the comedic style of the group. We have made more than twenty low-budget short movies in Greek and English and have released three of them through our YouTube channel. We plan on uploading the rest soon. Stay tuned!

Manolis

Founder of SavouroFilms Productions. From an early age he developed an interest in the arts, especially acting. He would take part in many school plays as well as write and direct his own home plays, which he would later present to friends and relatives. When he bought his first digital video camera he started to experiment with digital editing and visual effects. After many failures, expenses, unfinished productions he has decided to share his knowledge with other ambitious film makers.

Alex

Co-founder of SavouroFilms Productions. Always eager to help when asked, Alex, is the creative assistant of the team. Though he recently started to experiment with digital video, he has helped by giving ideas which were later brought to life by the team. He has a quick-learning ability and is eager in designing choreographies along with Manolis.

Theo

Highly intelligent and a fan of computers, Theofilos(a.k.a. Theo), made the perfect match to the filming experience of Manolis and the creativity of Alex. In terms of the website, he is the voice that says "Let's take a look at that again" and "Could you move that down a bit". He was in the website project from the beginning and his main duty is researching for the articles.

Website

We worked almost everyday for about two hours and we argued a lot on what to include and how it should look like. But we put everything aside and said let's make this worth looking at. We had a lot of fun in the way and will enroll next year for sure.

Our subject is global and we don't think elements such as religion or political views changed anything in the way we think about filming.
