Time-Holidays run on Jewish time they start at sunset the first day and end at sunset the last day. Israel has 5 1/2 to 6 day work week. Work begins Sunday and ends Friday at about 2p.m. No buses run on Shabbat either (the Sabbath).

Yom Kippur

Hannukah festival of lights, remember miracle, eat latkas and
things made with oil and light candles. (In Israel the children do not
receive presents.
Purim make and eat hamantashan, read the Book of
Esther.
Passover have a seder (seder means order), read the passover
story, you can't eat yeast for eight days.
Holocaust Remembrance Day
the name tells all.
Israeli Remembrance Day two sirens run at 11a.m.
and drivers pull over.
Israel Independence Day huge celebrations.
