Clothing-Most Israelies wear western style clothing, although some also wear traditional clothing.
Fruits - Many different
citrus fruits such as grapefruit. Also olives have grown in Israel for
thousands of years.
Vegetables -Tomatoes, peppers, onions, and potatoes.
Dairy - Cow, goat, and sheep milk.
Grains and poultry - Wheat,
sunflower seeds, and chickpeas are VERY commonly used and very popular.
A lot of the
population also only eat kosher food. Kosher means fit or proper in
Hebrew. Kosher means not being able to eat meat and dairy
together (cheeseburger, etc.).
Religion-About one-fifth of
Israel's population strictly observe the principles of Judaism, these
are called orthodox. About half of the population observe some of the
principles, the rest of the Jews are non-religious. About 75 percent of
the non-Jewish population are Arab Muslims and about 10 percent are Arab
Kosher Laws-Animals must be killed quickly and as painlessly as possible so it doesn't hurt the animals. When animals are cooked
they must be drained of blood by soaking in cold water and salting.
