About Us
This page is all about the five girls who worked on the website!
Annie:
Annie's main focus on the DATW site were the Sweden pages. Her favorite
part of working on the website was helping create the homepage, and her
main Sweden page. She picked Sweden because she has friends that are
from Sweden and is a Christian, the main religion in Swedish culture.
Carly:
Carly worked on the Israel pages. [One] of her favorite part of the
website was the Israel homepage and drawing the pictures for her site. She picked Israel
because she is Jewish and goes to Temple, and this religion is a big
part of her life.
Kesley: Kesley's time working on
the website mostly went to the Italy pages. Her favorite part of
working on the site was her lifestyle page. She picked
Italy because she is interested in such a beautiful and culture filled
country, and she has always wanted to go there!
Marissa:
Marissa mainly worked on the India pages of the website. She most loved
putting time into finding research for each of her pages. She picked
India because- she is Indian! She is dedicated to her Hindu religion,
and recently traveled to India- which gave her tons of information for
the site!
Meaghan:
Meaghan's part of the website she worked on was China. Her favorite
part of creating the website was the Lifestyle page for China. She also
loved inserting pictures she took when she went there! Meaghan picked
this country because she has a sister adopted from there, and it was a place she
recently traveled to.
All and all, the Destinations: Around the world team had a great time
working together on their project. At the beginning of the schoolyear,
they chose to work with eachother as a group out of about twenty four
other kids. Although there were conflicts (mostly the layout and fonts
of the homepage) they would always finally come to an aggrement. For
example, choosing not one of the fonts they had been arguing about, but
a new font that all five girls could find a comprmise on).
Everyone on the team can agree that making this website has been a fun,
teamwork filled, and educational experience that was overall
enjoyed.
