Game Informer gives Call of Duty a 10 on their rating scale. It is said to be the best action shooter out there. Its graphics make it one of the best looking games out there, it runs at 60 frames per second. Sound is captivating due to its brilliant score and raw battle noises. It features a selection of the best combat and cinematic moments in gaming. Every aspect of this game is fun. All gamers should be satisfied with its "old school” modifier to the more counter-strike setting and its simple death match to the more involved search and destroy matches. Game Informer Magazine gives Gears of War a 9.5/10. The main concept of this game is everything being BIG, Big players, big guns, and big enjoyment. Its graphics feature complex textures on just about every surface, Even though it has some minor glitches where animations don’t match up well. Sound is acceptable, but not great. It is the best use and execution of the duck and cover mechanic. The single-player experience is very good. But its multiplayer and co-op play makes the game shine.
Game informer Rock Band a 9.25/10. As a whole Rock Band could be the best music game ever made. Bringing the idea of everyone coming together to play, gives it its distinct group dynamic game play. Rock Band is basically a band in a box. Its graphics, a combination of fancy backgrounds and cool camera techniques make you feel like you're on stage. With 58 songs, it’s fun to play alone, but is best played as a 'band'. One of the few flaws this game has its drum set, which can take a while to learn, but it offers a new challenge to all players Game informer gives Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock an 8.75/10. GH3 comes with an incredible song list, some of the best guitar rock of all time, which the casual listeners may not recognize. Visuals are vibrant and colorful, with excellent detail on the characters. This is the most challenging game in the series, thanks to more multi-button chords, longer solos, and the dreaded boss battles against the likes of Tom Morello and Slash. Guitar Hero III is fun from the moment you pick up the guitar to the moment the credits scroll down your screen.
