Midi Background Information

What does MIDI stand for? It means "Musical Instrument Digital Interface" , which is an international standard for communication between a musical instrument and a computer. In other words, it is an industry-standard protocol that enables electronic musical instruments, computers and other equipment to communicate, control and synchronize with each other. There are 16 channels in MIDI devices, such as keyboards and hardware sound modules, and they vary from 0-15. Each channel only receives its own MIDI data. It can be assigned a different musical instrument, namely a "patch" . The same patch can be assigned to more than one channel. For instance, channel 10 is usually used for percussion only, for example, drum kits. All 16 channels can play at the same tim
