Sant Antoni is the patron saint of animals. He is the protector of peasants too.
On
Sant Antoni's day people don't kill animals, the animals don't work and
have very good food. Mallorcan people love pig very much because pork
meat is very good and we can use everything from the pork: the meat,
the insides, the bones and the blood.
There are "foguerons" (bonfires), and "dimonis" (fun devils). People dance "ball de bot" and sing "glosses" (improvised and rhymed songs).
