Animal abuse takes various forms, similarly it also has many causes, and if you want to make a real difference then understanding them is the first step in taking meaningful action. After taking the time to learn about this, try to think of possible solutions. One of the possible solutions is to spread your knowledge to others who may not be aware of all of these problems. What better way to spread your knowledge than speak about it? You can share your knowledge informally among friends or give a speech in your school assembly or at special events held to curb animal abuse. Our team was successful in reaching out many children, both locally and globally, by giving speeches in both schools and in classrooms.
When you hear or read about situations where animals are not being treated nicely, speak out. Whenever we saw anything in the newspaper, we wrote to the editor to tell them what we thought about it. On this page we have included two letters that we wrote to the letter that got published. Sometimes, our letters did not get published, but we realized that should not discourage us from voicing our concern on any future issues we may read about.
