Some punishments for this crime are already harsh, but in America, they are not as harsh as they should be. Michael Vick only got like two years in jail. I won't go into detail on what I think should have happened to him, but it's way worse than life is jail.

I think it should be harsher because if abuse a dog, you'd only be in jail for 1 ~ 2 years. If it were longer, less people would do it, because nobody likes jail.

I think punishment should be harsher because you're ruining someone's life forever. The animal maybe blind, only one ear, or never eat because their stomach has a tear.
