Animals Have Rights

In human life we come across some humans who lack normal intelligence. Sometimes, we come across humans who are very weak in comparison to a normal human. We do have people who sometimes don't have the ability to talk, see, or hear as a normal human would. Despite these deficiencies, we never use a weaker, sicker, handicapped, or a less intelligent person as our tool or property. If all of these humans, despite clearly lacking in comparison to a normal human being, deserve the same right, if not greater, than a normal human being, why then should we exploit animals under the premise of them being less intelligent, inferior, or otherwise for denying them basic rights? These are the reasons why animal rightists believe that animals should be granted legal rights and should have a right to life, liberty and freedom from human intrusion.

Animals Do Not Have Rights

It is widely accepted that humans are superior to all other animals and that they are the most dominant living being on this planet. Besides, animals don't ask for rights, so why give it to them? Even if they are given rights, they cannot make an appearance in court or defend themselves. This is the argument for why animals should not be granted rights and why humans should rule animals and do whatever they want with them.
