Rock climbing is an individual and a team sport that is done on rock, ice, and man-made surfaces. When people go rock climbing they scale the face of a vertical surface. They climb by gripping cracks and bumps. They use both their hands and feet to help move themselves to the top of whatever they are climbing. For safety they use ropes and anchors. They drive the anchors into the surface to keep themselves from losing their grips. A type of rock climbing is bouldering. It is almost the exact same thing except the person would use no equipment.
