RSI usually
affects people over 30 years old, but it can affect children too. RSI is caused
when someone performs the same action repeatedly, sitting in the same position
for a long time, or exerting a lot of force. The symptoms do not happen right
away, though; they develop over time. It causes swelling and pain in the areas
where the repetitive action is performed. The muscles, tendons, nerves, and
bursae are affected by RSI. Bursae are sacs that act as cushions between
muscles and bones.
To prevent RSI from getting worse, you should try to lessen your use of whatever is causing your RSI. If you are worried about your RSI, go to a doctor. Make sure the place where you spend most of your time is comfortable. For example, buy more ergonomic equipment; keyboards, mouses, and chairs all come in ergonomic styles.
